what is repentance? no matter how many alter calls u have, where we make people go 2 the alter and repeat the sinners pray, then tell them they're saved does not cut it. this is why many are confused 2day. they have no power 2 resist the enemy, and when the 1st trial comes they fall. now their beating themselves up because they thought they were saved as we've told them they were. there is no difference in our lifestyle, friends, hangouts, conversations, etc. now in no way shape or form am i saying get rid of u're friends once u get saved, what i'm saying is if u're friends are always hanging out drinking or smoking or whatever sin their doing, we need not be around this behavior. so what if they think u're acting funny. u represent God now.
consider this statement of repentance written by, Ellen G. White, in a book entitled: Steps to Christ (How to know him better):
"Teach me Thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path. Repentance includes being sorrowful for sin and turning away from it. Until we turn away from sin in/with our heart, there will be no real change in the life. There are many who fail to understand the true nature of repentance. But when the heart yields to the influence of the Spirit of God, the conscience will be quickened, and the sinner will discern something of the depth and sacredness of God's holy law, the foundation of His government in heaven and on the earth. Conviction takes hold upon the mind and heart. He sees the love of God, the beauty of holiness, the joy of purity; he longs to be cleansed and to be restored to communion with God & Heaven. "
Remember repenting and getting saved is just the 1st step. it doesn't end there, U Must Be Born Again! filled with the Holyghost power and speak not with tongues u've learned or mocked 4rm some1 else, but speak as the Spirit gives utterance.
