Hi everyone
Sorry about posting earlier before getting permission - I wasn't aware until Joy told me. It's real important for me that these continue to be used in church. I'm only trying to sell because I have to get to my best friends wedding out of state.
I have two drum sets for sale, both custom made with the finest shells and hardware available. The shells are from the same company that supplies other custom companies like Pork Pie and OCDP with their shells, and that used to supply DW until just recently. The hardware is satin brass adonis hardware (about twice as expensive as the imported stuff most companies use).
Both kits are 18x22, 8x10, and 12x14. The toms are 6 ply and the bass drums are 8 ply, just like DW. On one set the toms are veneered in an exotic birch burl from Russia, and the other the toms are finished in a really hot matte black chalkboard finish. Both bass drums are finished in the matte black. By chalkboard finish, I mean you can actually use chalk on them. All of the drums look incredble.
I'm in a pinch, so I'm only asking $800 for the veneered kit, and $750 for the chalkboard kit. The price is incredible considering the quality of these sets, but I'm in a pinch and I know a lot of church musicians just can't afford the price of custom sets, so this is really a win/win situation for both of us and our churches. Both kits sound and look absolutely amazing. Very resonant, low, and pure. The sound is huge in my sanctuary.
PM me if you're interested. I'm only actually going to sell one of the two, but am describing both so you can take your pick.
Thanks again for the consideration. These are pictures of the veneered kit (it's just incredible):
