Underrated Bass Players

Who are some of the sick bass players y'all know about that don't get the props they deserve, or people from your area that are killin', that you think we should be on the lookout for?

My #1 pick would have to be Meshell NdegeOcello. She's the most soulful bassist I've ever heard and a phenomenal writer. Check out these videos.

His name is Chip Shearin.  He plays Warrior basses.  They even have a Chip Shearin model that is a single cut away and is just sick.

I would say John Dillard from Charlotte NC. He is a master monster on that thing. He was the bass player on the Daryl Coley project recorded in Charlotte a few years ago.

Latin Christian music... that's what i'm talkn about, that's what I like ... i'll have to check them out.  I see from some of the song titles that they speak spanish, but does the music have that Latin flavor too?  I see Alex has his own bass CD(s) out too.  I'll listen to samples when I get home.
