- Yamaha S90 (at home, hardly ever leaves the house. My main board at home, for practice)
- Yamaha S30 (comes with me everywhere. Delightful piece of kit)
- Korg Triton Rack (used to be my main thing when outside the house. Now underused)
- Yamaha PSR-290 (my first board. Now lent to someone else)

Casio WK-1800 (my travel kybrd)
Casio WK-3000
Roland EP7
Yamaha Motif Rack ES (which I hook up to either keyboard)

Hopefully in the future I will be able to have a S90 or Motif keyboard.

Why in the world would you get a Motif keyboard when you have a Motif rack?...unless you plan to use the sequencer. Just get the M-Audio Keystation 88 Pro. It's a really good controller.

Anyway, if you do get a Motif keyboard. I know you're going to sell that rack, so don't forget me!

@4hisglory: Just admit it! You have a Casio too!

   8O

What is it with people getting all these Casios nowadays! Maybe they're actually getting better. I know their digital piano isn't bad, but I don't know about the keyboards....Like I said before, I'm sure even Jesus would be a Motif man! *hack spew* @ Triton and Casio

...Maybe they're trying to sneak in like Yamaha and take Motif's place though.... :? Hmm.

I have been planning on doing exactly what you suggested... In fact, I am interested in selling the Motif Rack- I've been trying for about 2 months.
So If you're interested, PM me or email: cootmusicgroup@yahoo.com

Casio??

B3,
I do not have a Casio, but my wife does (Wk-1840?)

My main board is the Triton Studio Pro.  I think it by far has the best piano feel of all the keyboards.  The board I take to church with me (easiest to move) is my Roland Fantom X6.  I love that board, its very easy to use.

Ahh I see that you love the sound of the Kurzweil...been tryin to tel yall the whole time! LOL! I got my church the PC2x...try musiciansfriend, sweetwater.com, guitarcenter.com and compare for the best price...the church brought it for 2199. You may try to find the PC88 (came before the PC2 series...no KB3mode) for under 1000 if you lucky...I planning to get the sound module from the PC2x.. :D

Have you been to an ear doctor recently? You might want to get your ears checked.

I do think you're right about the piano feel of the Casios though. I know the Triton Pro feels to thick, and the Motif, just a little too light. I think the Casio one, especially on the digital pianos, feels really close to a real piano.

@DD: I only like the EP sounds on the Kurzweils. The acoustic pianos are too toyish sounding, but if you're John Peters, it may not matter too much, since no one will really hear the toyish sound, except maybe Joe Sample.    :D

The Kurzweil acoustic piano aren't that toyish (depending on which piano sound you use) I hear more of the Classic Piano sound than anything these days..Peters use it on all the Hall CDs (We Are At War was on the PC2x...others was the PC88) Hezekiah Walker last 3 cds was on the Kurzweil PC88...Kevin Bond use it on most of the CDs (PC88)...Aaron Linsley and Israel used it on Martha's first CD  :) So as you see...it's not as toyish as you think if they used it..  :D

As you can see...I back up my keyboard company..

WHAT!??!? Kevin Bond uses this...you might go to hell for speaking against what Kevin Bond uses...lol...just kidding, but everyone has their own preferences...but I like it, my 2 favorite piano players use them...Kevin Bond and John Peters
