Hey everyone...Please shed some light on this for me....

I want to be able to do video recording of music and post it on the web like everyone else is doing, BUT I dont want the video camera just for that, I could use it in Church for recording services, as well as family outings....so....Question is this...

WHAT EXACTLY DO I NEED???
What Brand, What Features, What computer programs, What computer plug ins...WHAT CAMCORDER FEATURES??? Does it have to be digital...

SK, is there anything worth buying that is more COST effective? haha...Those are incredible cameras, but a little out of my price range. Should I wait til I can buy one of those, or is there an intermediate that would be suitable for now?

The Canon is the best cost effective one there. These are used for independent movie documentaries and some tv documentaries because of their size and portability for the budget conscious producers.

Long term I would say yes wait. Short term get what you can afford. THe biggest thing about DV is the lighting. Make sure esepeciall if you by a lower end camera that you purchase some cheap digital photo lighting equipment. Lighting makes the difference. Three cheap photo umbrella setups will work if it is a small church without stage lighting. The lights just need to be on the pastor/speaker.
