New Bass
« on: October 25, 2005, 12:40:37 PM »
Hey everyone.  I just got a new bass and i just wanted some of you alls opinions.  Me personally, i LOVE my new bass. it sounds nice.  I go a Ibanez sd gr 305.  its a 5 string active.  i paid 350 for it.  in about 2 months im getting a $700 Schecter ( forgot how to spell it).  But how do you all like this Ibanez.  I've only been playin for about 9months now but im learning fast.  I play every sunday at my church thru a 100w Kustom amp.  I've had offers to come play for other churchs but i love playin at my church cause i feel more comfortable with my piano player..

I have a 4 -string fender jazz. i am looking to get a 5-string too. Post some sound samples and stuff. I don't know what direction I am going but I won't be able to spend a lot of cash so 350-650 will be my range...

I have a four string if I buy another it will be a 6string. I often wonder why people go from 4 to 5string and not a 6string.
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

in the beginning I thought my fingers were to short for a 6 so i never cared to tried it. but maybe 3 months ago I tired a 6 and my pinky can reach the B string comfortably. it was shocking. and enjoyable i think I'm with ladybass on the i think i'd like a 6.

a 4 has an ideal feeling, a 6 is enjoyable but a 5 seems to have something missing. am i alone in this?

I have a 4 string ibanez srx300 active eq passive pickups and a fender deluxe jazz fretless passive. I think i want the six string ibanez thats in the $600 range.

well. i have bad news but good news also.. I took that Ibanez back because i found a better deal on a Peavey Grind bass.  It sells for 600dollars but the music store let me have it for 450.. Plus it sound better to me than the Ibanez and its lighter.  IM KEEPING THIS ONE!!!
