That's a nice looking snare, why are you selling it??  I'm sure it sounds as nice as it looks.   8)

Cuz that's kinda what I do. I build stuff then sell it. I tried selling it on this forum but no one went for it.

You built it yourself? If so, that's awesome.

it is a nice snare and im sure it sounds great its just those lugs man. not the design but the placement. i think if you were going to do offset lugs you should have done them 50% offset.

Over $500 if you're really interested in something like that send an email

RickMarquez@cox.net

I get a lot of people who ask for all kinds of crazy stuff. I don't appreciate doing all the research and making all the calls when the person will be perfectly satisfied with something they can pick up at guitar center.

4 ply African Mahogany. 14x6, 14x6.5 or 14x7...Around $300??? And what kind of hardware options can you come up with? My budget can grow if needed.

God Bless.

For the more exotic woods (anything outside of Maple, birch, or cherry) I usually tend to prefer stave construction over ply simply because I refuse to build ply shells. I'm not a big production, everything is put together in my one bedroom apartment and in order to put a ply shell together costs me an arm and a leg. For around $425 I can have a 14" stave mahogany ssnare with some lug design. I can't get DW lugs. Pretty much any other style lugs are I am able to get.....

I do have a whole bunch of satin chrome DW lugs that I am waiting to throw on a kit that I am building for myself.

What about a birch or cherry standard snare?? 14" diameter, what depth can you get??? and what would the cost be on one of those? I am definitely on the market for a snare, but I want something a little different than the norm...What hardware colors can you get?

God Bless.
