Why is it that no one ever talks about my top drummer Lil' John Roberts. This dude is absolutely amazing on drums. I, personally, think that he's one of the pioneers of the modern jazz fusion sound. Come on and let's give my man some love. Who knows about the skillz of my man Lil' John Roberts.

Well Sug, I agree. You mainly hear about the likes of the Aarons, Teddys, Tonys and so forth. Don't get me wrong they are all beast in their own right. But John Roberts is the truth. I saw him Live with Janet Jackson back in 98 and he was killing it. And his solo was off the chain. His pocket is deep with a lot of lint in it!!! LOL Anyway, I feel you, he is one omy favorites as well man.

I have got love for Lil John's playing as well. Ihaven't heard a lot of his work but I have heard some of his George Duke stuff and the Janet Tour stuff and EnVogue back in the day, "Don't Let Go". Also have seen him with Ricky Minors band several times on award shows.

Lil John Roberts is the man. He is one of the main influences on Spanky, Brian Moore (Briz), Dre, Booty, and all of Philly and Atlanta. I met John back in 98 and he is humble and has nothing but skilz. He has a few solos on Jehovah's Chosen first album. Nothing but Holy Ghost Fire :oops: If you never heard Lil John Roberts play you must pick up an album and check the skilz. Stay Blessed, Nate J.

If were going to talk about John Roberts pocket, he's got more than lint in there. He's got like $200.00 cash!! :lol: I have hardley ever heard anyone so solid. And he's got chops to kill anyone. I have never wittnesed him live, but I hear that he's back on tour with Musiq Soulchild. I'm gon try to catch at least one show and if anybody knows of any pending shows then holla!!!!!!!!

Naaaaaa, Spanky and lil' John ain't brothers, though Spanky was mentored by Lil' John as well as many other drummers from that area

Mike Clemmons was the drummer on Usher's 8701 DVD, Brian Frasier-Moore was the drummer on Usher Live dvd, his first live dvd.

If y'all don't mind me asking.....which artist has he played with/who's albums is he on? What work has he recently done? Y'all keep throwing these names out here, it's hard for me as a small town midwest boy to keep up!!
