I had a rockbass before I went to the corvette trust me, awesome bass, obviously you like your sound bright, so I would go with the warwick, the sound is cleaner. Have you played both basses? If so which one do YOU like.

The Ibenez has a narrower neck towards the neck so that helps with the playability but I find that the Warwicks feel alot smoother to play it just feels right but if you compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges you get more bang for buck with the Ibenez. Just my opinion but thats up to you make sure you play both compare electronics and hardware, active or not.
