A Yamaha 5-string

Does anyone have an opinion about this Bass a friend of mine (25 year experince) says its a great first 5 string that's solid enough to last you beyond just being your first 5 string.

I've played it at Bill's in Catonsville, Md

it's very comfortable, the tone is very warm and nice, and th2 34inch scale B doesn't flop a wole lot.

My recommendation is if you like the way that the bass sounds then buy it, we can tell all day what bass we like, but if you don't like the sound, then you won't want to play it as much and you might lose your passion for it, also you could waste money. So if that is the sound you like then buy it, but try other basses to be sure that is the sound you like. peace!
