I am thinking about buying an acoustic bass sometime soon... what does everyone think about them? good or bad?

im wanting to spend about $300 on one... anyone got a sugguestion on what the best i can get for that amount of money is? and if so, where?

any way, yes I've played them, they have a bit of a warmer tone then a soild body. nice i like them. to me the playability is a bit lower. but not to bad. I suggest Ovation has sub companies called Applause and Celeberty (excuse the spelling I'm tired)

lol i havnt been here much because my bass was stolen a while ago and i havnt got really anything to post because i have no bass to post about... lol so the only thing i really post is questions on new basses...

Also its good to know that some people miss my humor :-P

but lastly, your link was to a acoustic guitar not acoustic bass lol

but i think ive got one that im going to get... a local music store is selling a used crafters electric acoustic bass for about 300 bucks (after tax... i put that to saved me time from having to find out the real price, its like 270) lol...

i got it last night, and i am pleased with it, its beautiful, the picture doesnt do anything for it lol...

but i got it and it sounds good as far as i can tell, ive plugged it in to my amp at my house and it seems to work fine, and i played along without the amp to a gospel cd i got (the inspirations) and i am pleased with it so far... but i havnt really tryed it on the amp when its in action... ill have to wait until sunday and test it out at the church and see how it goes and then ill give you the update on it...

you said u didnt know when you would play it... its not just acoustic, its acoustic/electric, so you dont have to wait until you are playing with a couple of friends who are ampless, you can plug er in at church and look good.. plus its not that commen to see them so everyones watching lol

thats me playing acoustic guitar and acousic bass guitar at seperate times all mixed together... didnt do a very good job on it, but for only having a microphone, its ok i guess... but thats how it sounds lol
