Alright...I tuned the top head to 1.5 turns and the bottom at 2 turns. For the snares, I engaged the throw off and brought them to where they were just hitting the bottom and then gave it 2 more full turns. It has a very low punchy sound. I have a genera dry and hazy 300 combo. I do have a cotton pad with duct tape on the bottom head....Any ideas what I can do in tuning so I can take that off?
I really like the sound. However, I think that once I get the Genera HD Dry and the Puresound Equalizers, that the sound will be where I want it. but tuning this guy low is definitely the key...This snare is so versatile....I tightened up, and it sounded like my Maple, but with more punch. I am really impressed...just gotta keep experimenting...
