I just wanted to know who sings and plays bass at the same time.

Man, this is tough!  I tell you the truth, if I had my choice I would just play.  but we don't have that many experienced singers so I lead songs a lot and most of you know, you have to fight singing what you're playing.

That's exactly what I'm going through. I was asked to sing background and hold down the bass when a member of my group left. I would get my part to sing and it was perfect, but as soon as I tried to play it was like I couldn't even open my mouth without the bassline falling apart. I'm getting better with repetition, but I still tend to drift away from my part and sing in unison with the bassline.
