Does anyone know anything about KMD amps??
« on: December 21, 2005, 02:11:40 PM »
I inherited a KMD GS200B amp from my uncle on yeserday.  Can anyone tell me anything about this amp?  Is it good, bad or OK??  Also, what settings should I use for bass, lo mid, hi mid and treble??  And lastly, I wanted to invest in a  new set of strings.  I still have the strings that came with the bass when I purchased it ( 5 string Peavey Millineum).  I might be wrong but I really don't think these strings are the best quality.  Thanks in advance.

my sugestion to you is in regard to the string. I'm sure other may have a different opinion. As for me If it's not a $1200 or so bass the string are gone as soon as I get the bass. I don't like factory strings at all. I use only one type of strings Dean Markley Blue Steels, (the just made these in nickle plated, will be switching to those soon). These strings have a very long life, tone is very nice and warm, breaks in fairly quickly (that twank going away) and versitile enough to cover just about every music still and playing still, sounds great for slapping.
