Hey, it only took me one week!!   BUT I AM FINALLY THERE!! I got my Pearl MHX 14x6.5 Mahogany Snare to do what it do!!!!!!

Oh BOI......

what a snare.

It truly has the most unique sound...the Mahogany wood and 6.5" depth adds such a low end punch.

Ok, so here is what I did to take this wild tree...

Genera HD Dry Batter side
Hazy 300 Snare side
Puresound Equalizers E-1416 (called a 16 strand because its the width of a 16 strand set, but it only has 12 strands, the 4 in the middle are gone.)

I have the Batter side tuned at 4 turns past finger tight,
and the snare side at 4.5 turns past finger tight.
I realized that with this snare, to get rid of some of the ring, I had to tune the snare side tighter than the batter...and it worked.

The PURESOUNDS are AMAZING!!!

There was still a little vibration, so I stuck a Evans E-ring on it, and wow....It sounds absolutely perfect.

Best way to describe it: Nice warm, fat, crunchy, dry, pop.

I am so pleased...

Good Job Man :!:   Im happy for you, because we all know as drummers aint nothin like having your snare sound just the way you want it to sound    :lol:  :lol: and when you finally get that sound its like nothing you can explain, because it makes you fill good when you play it and the sound you get from it just ministers to your soul :!:   GOD BLESS Man now make a joyful noise unto the Lordddddddddaaaa! thank Yah!
