Can anyone give me some good advise on how to train your ear as far playing in the right key or either placing people as they sing in the right key.....are there any books ...videos ..or special technigue to enhance my ear for keys.

the only thing I can recommend is where ever they resolve on is the key that they are singing in, do you have a keyboardist, if so let him start off to try to find the key and join in after the first time through, peace!

learn your intervals...Gary Willis has a a book and CD called "Ultimate Ear Training for Guitar and Bass"...This is pretty good.
Try to focus on learning the sounds of chords. Major, Minor, Dominant, Diminshed.
