« on: January 22, 2006, 04:34:37 PM »
We really had a blessed service. Our Pastor preached on Bringing the Glory back into the Church focusing on the story of David and the Arc of the Covenant.

Praise & Worship:
Praise the Lord with Me (Unknown)
              Let us Go (Joe Pace)
              Friend of God (Israel)
In Everything Give Thanks (Mike Lowry)
              Living Word (Fred Hammond)

Sermonic selection:
Jesus loves to Hear the Sound Of Praise (Bishop Trotter)

Peace!

Invitation:
              Lord, Make Me Over

Beginning of service: the congregation sang "It is Time for Worship" - John P. Kee

Hymn : "The Solid Rock"

Prayer: "We Offer Praise" (Rodney Bryant)

Giving selection: instrumental of "Just a Closer Walk".. mixed with a little "Yesterday" (Mary Mary) flavor :D.

Our group sang "No Cross, No Crown" (by Vicky Winans), and "Hold Me Now" which was very powerful *tear*, the keyboard started to fade out like the power was about to cut out at the end lol and I was prayin' hard that it would hold out until the pastor prayed to begin his sermon lol. Thank God it made it!!

Doxology: "My Faith Looks Up to Thee"

Amen!

It's always hard for me to reply to messages like this because we usually sing original songs or improv.

I played the bass, but I am also drawing a blank on the rest of the songs...

I my defense, we had an overnight lock-in with the Teens, Friday night, and I didn't get any sleep until about 2:00 PM Saturday.  I played basketball like I was 16 big mistake... I am still feeling it.  LOL!

these original songs...I would love to hear them. I like that idea though you don't always have to go to the popular song, open up your bible and let the Lord minister THROUGH you, girl I think you sparked something in me thank you! peace!

We played "I surrender All" and a song called "Wash Me" (I think).  I don't know what was wrong with my ears today.  It was almost as if everyone was speaking Russian to me except the Chaplain.   :?
