Question about Blues Scales....

How important would you guys say it is to learn the blues scale?  How much do YOU use it?

It's a good scale to know when you playing preacher and shouting chords. That is basically the only time I really use it.  Here is an example:

Key Eb  LH/RH

RH run: Db, Eb, Db, Bb, A, Ab, Gb, Eb
Eb / Eb-Ab-C
Eb / Db-G-Bb

I notice some guys are very quick with the blues scales and the jazz runs.

I was wondering if anybody would be willing to post a suggested fingering for a run?

Why do you keep wanting to play chords on a bass guitar?  All you have to do is play bass lines, which are the left hand notes.  If you need basslines, then you should ask for basslines, not chords.  The chords is for the piano.
