« on: January 29, 2006, 01:45:25 PM »
i have been playing for a couple of years now,at home i  have been playing a piano, then i purchased an electric piano, which is  fine,

to get to the point,i bought this keyboard from radio shack,i think this was a bad idea, but to let you no whats all on

it have a pitch bend
modulation button  whatever that is
2 way bass reflex speakers
internet data expansion system dont no what that is either
50 drawbar  organ tones
160 rhythms
332 advanced tone
218 tones
song memory track
auto harmonizing,split,layer
smf player
smart media card

i think the name of it is smart media md-4072
i have had this keyboard for about two months,i never did like to play
them, but since i have been playing it,my hands or moving much faster
my hands dosent hurt as much,i feel that its easier to move from key
to key,my question is this is it because the keys are much lighter
my other quetion is,is this a keyboard that i can use in church?

i just feel like i play much better on the keyboard

thanks for all the replies

I have own that same keyboard and up until last Sunday it was being used @ my church. I have not had no problems as of yet and in May I would have owned it for 2 years.

That's a decent board, it's basicaly a Casio WK-3000 with a Radio Shack sticker on it.

Great board, it wasn't a poor choice.

How much was it, if I may ask?

It sounds like a good board... If it is a generic WK-3000 then you really need to learn how to use it to get your money's worth.

I don't know how many instruments you play with a church, but once you learn how to program the board you alone can sound like a full ensemble.  Learn how to use the memory ( smart media ).  You will be very glad that you did.  Post any questions and we will try to help.

Be careful though.... programming music for a church service can be risky if the you, the board, and the choir are not coordinated properly.
I'd rather be imperfectly inspired, than to be perfectly entertained...
