This song is sooo melodious, and I don't know who sings it, but the lyric that doesn't settle well with me is:

"Wherever I go, let your spirit follow me"

The spirit of God is not supposed to follow us, but we are to be led by the spirit.

But still, the song sounds sooo nice  :-\

Someone may have posted this, but with 5 pages, I didn't read all of the posts.

Grace & Peace

There's another one out there that says,

Lead:I'm so glad I found the Lord Jesus in time
Choir: I found Him in time

Question people.  How you gonna find somebody who was never lost?
I think I was the one lost in sin before Jesus found me.

I got another one.  It's got some meaning and I actually like the song but let's break it down.

Hezekiah Walker's "I'll Be Satisfied"

They start out by saying "Anyway You bless me, I'll be satisfied."

The "ANY" in Anyway is absolute.  So logically speaking, simply being able to breath is a blessing.  And if that should happen to be the only way you are blessed (meaning you haven't been blessed with food, clothes, etc.) you'll be satisfied.

REALLY?

Tell the truth up in here.

Also, this may be off on a bit of a tangent, but I was at a program recently and a choir sung "The Remix" and the lady leading it sung the son WORD FOR WORD, including the overseas and foreclusre parts!! To me that didn't make any sense!! (The song is fine, but shouldn't only Dianne be singing those parts??)

ha ha ha :D thats 2 funny

Well the scripture says, The BLESSING of the Lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrow, so I guess anyway he blesses would satisfy me....

(call and answer here we go ya'll)

call: "that old mind I used to have"

Answer: my mind is gone...etc.

I just about flipped off that organ when I heard the pastors wife sing this one. I can't say any name cause these people are well known.

The song that truly does not make sense is "Do Not Pass Me By".  I may be wrong, but I do believe Jesus lets us know that he will "never leave us or forsake us".  It's a nice song choir-wise, but the God I serve, I don't have to worry about Him forgetting me

May the Lord God bless you real good, May the Lord God bless you real good
He woke me up this mornin', started me on my way
May the Lord God bless you real good.

This song doesn't even make sense when you actually think about what you are singing!!!

Bb Shouting...EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWw (juss messin itsallbanans i mean itsallpeaches ;D)

How about....

The Israel song....Here I Am To Worship...Its all good til we get to the "I'll never know how much it cost to see my sins upon that cross" We do know what it cost.. IT COST HIM HIS LIFE!!!!

I guess I always took that as I'll never truly comprehend that level of sacrifice, not necessarily "know" as in intellectually. My 2 cents.

Every time I hear that one, I imagine Jesus is like Santa Claus...."go on child, sit on Jesus' lap and tell Him what you want..." Kinda like shopping with Jesus.

How about Kirk Franklin's "Hosanna"???

I don't know, but I don't see anywhere in the Bible where one of Jesus' name is "Hosanna".

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but that song never made sense to me.

I mean, during the ad lib, Kirk says "What's His name" and the choir says "Hosanna".  And the lyrics say "Hosanna forever we worship You".

I thought Hosanna meant to praise God.

Laura
hosanna means ...oh save! Or, it can be an exclamation of adoration.  Or it can mean something similar to "all hail the King".  But hosanna is definitely NOT a name of Jesus no matter what any song writer tries to get the church to believe....Laura, I'm with you on this one. That song gets on my last nerve.
