You missed it LadyWiz...
I know that is the song, but we been singin a lie, we KNOW more names than Jesus, that's what I'm saying...
It may be the sweetest name we know, but not the ONLY name we know.

The meaning I get from the song is there is no other name by which we may be saved, healed, restored, delivered, etc.

I think "Isaac was the only one" rhymed with "son" and she just "went there"!

Compromise the Word for a rhyme!!! LOL!!!

Herman, you are right, we can name many that are a bit "off" from scripture. People get so caught up with the beat that they really don't take the time to listen to the lyrics.

Ok as much as I Love “Bless Me (Prayer of Jabazz)” there is a part of the song that just doesn’t sit right with me... So when I taught it to the P&W Team/Choir I changed it...
“Keep Your hands upon me, That no evil can not harm me” :?  8O

I changed it to “So that evil can not harm me”

I loved every part of that song except that part..... uuugggghhh

Ok and I love my boy Hez but that song “Anyway you bless me”.... I don’t know about yall but I don’t wanna be blessed any ol kinda way.... Cause we aint neva satisfied... LMBO!!!!!

I wanna be “Abundantly Blessed”

Ok
The song for once and all IS

Whatcha come here fo

Rock Daniel

Whatcha come here fo

Rock Daniel

My grandmother or someone aged said it was kinda of an old term that ment have a good time...
(HOPE THIS CLARIFIES FOR SOMEONE)

It is in the morning when I rise, but like I said on another thread I always thought they were singing;

In the morning
When I ride

I wanna white pony (I wanna rise holy)
When I ride.

OK OK OK I know I know.

What about "walk around heaven all day", and what about "Keep a inchin' along"

And then "I'm going to tell God how you treated me after while"

Ya'll shouldn't have started this one, I got a big list...

Bless that wonderful name,
What does the last line say???
See ya'll been lying in church all these years, ya'll know more names than Jesus, OH YES YOU DO...

Thank you bishop2, cuz they didn't believe me on the "rock daniel" one!

I really hate the Dorothy Norwood song (i think its her) but they say "lord have mercy on me when I come to die".  That has to be the most depressing song on EARTH.  I dont want to think about Dying.  I'd rather just be caught up in the rapture.  And if we repent everyday like we are supposed to and live a lifestyle of praise and worship then hopefully we can just say "God tell me 'welcome home my good and faithful servant'"...Praizem

ok....here's another CLASSIC song that has never made sense to me...

I SHALL NOT BE MOVED

There's a verse in the song that goes....

THE CHURCH OF GOD IS MARCHING......I SHALL NOT BE MOVED
THE CHURCH OF GOD IS MARCHING......I SHALL NOT BE MOVED
JUST LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY THE WATER....I SHALL NOT BE MOVED

There is a song that says "If I perish, let me perish, I'm going to see Jesus."  But the bible says: "Thou shall not perish but have everlasting life."  So if one perish, will they see Jesus? NO

The song I remember was "If I perish, I perish.  I'm going to see the king."  This was based on the book of Esther 4:16 when she was about to go before the king with her petition.

But there was an old song Ididn't understand that said "Give me just a cabin in a corner in gloryland"  I never understood that. What about those mansions?  8O  :)

I WANT A WHITE PONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God, please let them ask me to open up tonight at choir rehearsal!  Please!  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Nah, they wouldn't know the difference anyway!

But that was funny!  WHITE PONY HUH!? WOW!

Perhaps this is where diction lessons come in.  I am still trying to figure out what the choir says on parts of Dianne's "Pray for Me" and am at a sincere loss!

That's what the thief told him when he was on the cross.  Quoting from memory, "Remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom"

Its South Carolina in the middle of July about a hundred degrees, your choir is in this singout, the church packed to the brim...AC not putting out much...not a great song to sing in that situation...

How about this one... Send it on down send it on down Lord let the Holy Ghost Come on down.

1.  The Holy Ghost is not an 'it' He's a person!!

2.  Everytime I hear this song when I was little I would think of God being a contestant on the Price is Right.  ya know 'come on down.'  This just bugged me for some reason.
