I just read a song title in another post that brought back to mind a question I've had for years.....

WHAT IS THE LIGHT FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE!? AND WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF IT SHING ON ME?

Can someone bring me out of the dark? I can really sing along with that one in church, but if you ever stop the song and ask me (the Director of all people) what was I singing about? I'd have to look at you, laugh real hard, and then manipulate the conversation to where you explain it to me and therefore answer your own question!

Hello. Until you can go to the writer and ask what inspired them to write the songs, it is kind of hard to say that it makes no sense. It may not make sense to you, but to them it may because they could be testifying about things from their past or what God gave them.

On another note, analyze some of these Hip Hop and R & B songs and tell me if some of them make sense.

First, you might want to read the title. It says, Gospel songs that YOU FEEL have absolutely no meaning. That means, the ones in YOUR OPINION that YOU FEEL, have absolutely no meaning. Of course it had meaning to the writer,they wrote it! That doesn't mean it has meaning to the listener. And if you wanna know about the hip hop and r&b songs that you feel have no meaning, then YOU post it. l wasn't downplaying gospel music, it's my favorite genre of music. But this is a gospel site, so I decided to go with, gospel songs!
