Thanks for the support Natejam71, I only play that way because I can't get comfortable playin how you guys play (which is the way I'd rather play!!)  It comes down to being comfortable and relaxed when executing your chops.  Because of my broad shoulders, people say it looks like I play stiff and uncomfortable, but it works for me...   And besides you know they say this world is made for RIGHT-HANDERS!!!!   And alot times I wish I was Right-Handed.  LOL!

But RIGHT-HANDED players that play on a convntional laeft-handed set have more of an advantage than conventional leftys b/c the leftys would have to cross the left arm over there right arm to get to the ride. And thats major trouble if the ride is next to the floor tom.

What?I don't understand this Statement Explain it again maybe I'm just sleepy :?

TO KEYDRUMMER

what I was tryin' to say was, that right-handed drummers have it easier than left-handed drummers.

If a left-handed drummer was playing on aright handed kit, in order to get to the ride they would have to cross there left arm over there right arm. That would be preety hard to do b/cour right hand has to play the snare.

BUT, when a right-handed drummer plays on a left-handed kit, its easier for them than it is for us leftys. when they play the ride (which is next to hi-hat) there hands would not have to cross over each other.

I hope i wasn't TOO confusing.

Ok,A RightHand lead or setup has the Hihat & Snare on the Left and a Ride to your Right,A leftHand lead or setup the Hihat & Snare is on the Right and the Ride is on the Left.If a Lefthanded Drummer plays a RightHanded setup They shouldn't have to cross hands,One needs to be Ambidextrous(Spelling Possibly Wrong) to Lead with either Hand so that the Ride can be on the Right or Left.

nnnnnooooooooo stop it, stop it, stop it.

God made us balanced and symmetrical. We learned handicaps. Anything, ANYTHING on the drumkit is fair game for either side/hand. You should be able to ride with eith er hand. Play the snare with either hand. This is HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE. Let us all stop making excuses and fix it. Train your body to do what you want it and need it to do. We are in charge of maintaning the temple.

My left side is stronger than my right but lacks the control. So I am teaching myself to control it. All you have to do is JUST DO IT. It takes time and commitment. As soon as you committ you shorten the time.

"What you practice EVERYDAY you become" quote from the book SpeedWealth. If you practice being ambidextreous you become ambidextrious. If you only talk about it everyday you become a complainer.  LET"S MAKE IT HAPPEN PEOPLE.... 6-Months fomrnow I WANT TO HERE SOME TESTIMONIES OF DELIVERENCE FROM BEING "ONE-SIDED" DRUMMERS.
