Man...I've been working on slap the last 2 weeks. I finally got Victor Wooten's double thump technique down. Someone also posted clips of percussive triplets a while back (don't remember who) but I've got that down too. I've got to figure out how to use this stuff now.
That's the fun stuff...Now I've got to get back to walking over progressions(Tedious yet rewarding)!

I'd like to hear an audio clip of that. I finally got the open-hammer pluck thing down. I almost lost a thumbnail trying to to the double thump thing! lol

Audio...How about some video clips. When I first came to LGM, that's what attracked me to LGM. I've been kinda waiting to get a better camera but I'll have to start using what I have.
I also have been practicing like two hours a day trying to get everything under my fingers. Scales modes (I still haven't mastered the things that Layback sent me as far as the relationships for the modes).
Yall talk to me...

I'll see what I can do about some clips. I kinda hate to do stuff that takes away from my practice time and I have to figure out how to set up the recording so that I can send clips, but...I've been meaning to do that anyways.
In the meantime check out the
"Victor Wooten Style"
link in the bass section on
http://www.gospelchops.com/index-2.html
. That is what I was using to get down that technique. The song he used was coped from Victor's website.

DJ,
I feel you on the practice time bit...I was just thinking the same thing. I spend so much time practicing that I don't feel like touching video clips. I want to do a post where we "POST YOU VARIATION OF BLUES SCALE/RUNS." I might work that this weekend. I'm getting pretty bored with the practice routine I have so I might just break it up by starting this post and we what we all have in our bag of tricks.
