What do u use to make video lessons

What are you guys using to make video lessons. Because I tested out my webcam in which I can record and the File size was like 1.2 gb with 1:30mins (not good).

I used Windows Movie Maker most of the time..I may  use Acid and Pinnancle sometimes for some stuff.
