Well I liked the DVD,everyone could play and had chops, however I thought the grooves or hits by the bass player and keyboard could have been better planned.  And as far as the Thomas comment goes by Audiocr381ve: YOU MUST BE PRETTY SICK TO MAKE A COMMENT ABOUT THOMAS PRIDGEN LIKE THAT I'D LIKE TO HEAR SOME AUDIO OF YOU, OR BETTER YET HEAR YOU IN A SHED WITH THOMAS!

Way...keep in mind, folks are entitled to their opinions. To say someone is sick to make a comment is not good bizness on this site. If you liked the DVD, that's cool, you're entitled to your opinion...The last thing we need on this site is more drama, dramamine...

You can tell who's imature when they start saying "I wanna hear you play! I'd like to see you in that shed session! Lets get an audio of you!" Come on now man, you new round here?

I have put an audio up first of all dog. Thomas would destroy me. I don't form my opinions based on my own musical talent. I form them based on the best I've heard. And Thomas right now just isn't hitting the bar for me. He most definetly will be one of the greatest years from now if he keeps it up but as far as the SHED SESSIONS DVD GOES, he didn't impress me.

Naw doc, I'm not new if you look at my posts.  Neither was the comment immature its just that when someone doesn't impress you ,you must be able to surpass them or on a higher level.   That's the impression I get.

A person's style can simply be unappealing to you. You've never bought a cd that you didn't like? If so, could you have done better?

I always like to ask people - if I have to be just as good or better to be unimpressed, don't you have to be great to RECOGNIZE greatness? How are you able to call Pridgen great, if you can't play what he does? Are you callin' him great because he's better than you? You do realize your perspective on such a matter, oftentimes, is based on your ability, or lack theirof.

Meaning?

If his opinion on Thomas's playing is no good, because he's not on that level - then neither is your opinion of Thomas, because you can only compare & contrast your ability with Pridgen's. Ultimately, making your opinion wholly subjective.

MaestroDivine I don't understand your point. This has nothing to do with my playing, But since you want to go their, I'm cofident with my playing I've played with Thomas before and he has alot chops that I don't do , but in no way do I "worship" him or think he is the "king", like your comment suggests.  ALL I WAS TRYING TO DO WAS FIND OUT WHY AUDIOCR381VE FEELS THE WAY HE DOES ABOUT THOMAS CUZ I DON'T SEE IT!!

Waydrummer, Maestro did not say that Thomas is the King.  We all know that his inspiration is Chris Dave and not Thomas.  All he is saying is that Audio had his opinion and you have yours.  If his is no good than what makes your opinion valid?  Read his post again and you'll see. ;)

well i dont think u have 2 be deep to realize that thomas is a beast. so is jeremy. tony did some nice stuff as well. eric had mad chops too. but their was nothing wrong with thomas timing like someone had implied. he always came back to the one when he was done soloing. and i support waydrummers comments because he is a very talented drummer, and we have both heard thomas plenty of times and he is simply amazing. i know everyone is entitled to their own opinon but some stuff sounds rediculous so i had to chime in.

Why, exactly, are you supporting waydrummer?

Not trying to start confusion. Just wondering...

Oh, my bad. You're supporting his comments, 'cause he's a talented drummer.

You know its pointless of even tryin to find out why someone feels the way they because every time I put a post up I get negative re-buttle or a smart comment so I done with this topic. And by the way I respect everyone's opinion on here, I just know now not to challange some one's opinion or post my audio on here.  :) ;) :D ;D

Waydrummer, you are entitled to your opinion as is everyone else.  Most of the time things go bad on threads is because we don't know how to phrase our opinions properly and it comes out the wrong way.  Trust me, it's happened to me.  I understand you wanted to find out why Audio felt the way he did.  Reading your post made it seem like you were coming too strong.  If you would've said, "Hey Audio, why do you think that Thomas...... , it would've come out better.  What do you think?  By the way, I'd love to hear some clips of your playing brother.  Go ahead and post. ;)

He's right, man. On rare occassions, I may come across too strongly too. Heck, hardly ever - but the point is, it happens. So, try to sound inquisitive, instead of confrontational ... and all should be well.

Point blank, and I say this regardless of the moderators, NOBODY COMMENTING ON THIS FORUM IS GONNA SIT DOWN AN HAND IT TO THOMAS PRIDGEN. THATS HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until I see anybody that has time to write hundreds or thousands of posts on this site apose to gigging, sit down on the set with legends such as Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dennis Chambers, Tony Williams ect.......... and hand them a nice piece, nothing you say is valid. Because Thomas has done all of the above, including winning the Guitar Center Drum off in the adult division at the age of 8! Modern Drummer has also ranked him at the top of being one of the worlds greatest drummers of our time and erra, dubbing him a LIVING LEDGEND! Oooops Im sorry I didnt catch ANY of your names, WHO ARE YOU?

That's right!

If you don't have a name known through out the world, in your particular field, then you're no good! The only people who have any talent, are those who learned from legends, have had articles written up about them, and don't spend a lo of time on this website! It's not possible that you may have just not be recognized yet! It's not possible that maybe you don't want to be a touring musician! It's not possible to play drums, 'cause you love them, and for no other reason!

That's why Thomas Pridgen will forever be superior to all of us - because we don't have his name, connections, & resume!
