He grew up watching nathaniel townsley play so i RESPECT him and plus he does have the gig with Alicia and he also replaced House and House was nastee. ;D

Yo, Maestros' crazy... ;D 

 Paul John is nice and clean.  I like his style.  He plays very musical.  It's not like he has a choice either. / Check this Trio out for the next Modern Drummer Festival, Alicia Keys with her vocals and Grand Piano, Deborah Killings on Bass and Paul John on the kit.  That would be nice, right???

Are they really planning dat??? The Trio? Coz you can have Debra backin' up vocals too...dat would be sumthing..

A house use to play for Alicia Keys? How many bedrooms?
Nah. I like Paul John. There's a mysterious-ness about him. I haven't really heard him do anything to stick out but, I think this guy has the potential to be very deadly. I got a feeling he's gone do something so serious one day that they'll be three days worth of threads posted about it.

I went to her concert last year and paul johns is the real deal crispy clean on the set i left very impressed

Paul John is a beast in his own right.  Very MUSICAL drummer.  He fills all the voids in songs, wheter it be a build to FFF or to something as simple as accenting Alicia when she plays a solo.  I saw her live and he was killing.  Holding it down.  He came from the church, so I am sure that he has chops.

My Dad always tells me that you will know who the drummer is in a band without asking because they are the craziest ones!!!

vocally Debra > than Alicia. especially from what i have heard working with her and hearing her sing at the church and on vairous projects.

I like his playing though I've only seen a few clips of him. THat spread in Modern Drummer magazine however spoke volumes. Must respect for that.
