nice stuff I never knew to play a mqjo4 7 over the third of the third thats heavy man

Emajor 7 over c shell

You lost me a little when you were approaching the chords from different spots were you sliding the ame chord up and down into the home chords or using different kinds of passing chords to do it.

Great clip sign me up for the Dvd when its ready
To be or not to be that is the question you anwer when you pray practice and read your word

I have 4 DVD's that are out....
As for the chord changes going to the other main chords, I'll do the 1/2 step before or after the main chord..or I'll do a chordal walk to it....whatever i feel like doing at that time, if you're interested in the DVD's, visit: http://www.algieres.com/hammondman

I really liked that, you really broke down for me what shout chords are all about.  Mainly just one I IV and V, with passing tones in between.

There were some funny comments that kept my attention..."there's nobody in here so I'm not feeling jack"  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Now I think you said at the beginning that shouting chords are usually in minor, but that you can get away with major...can you elaborate on that a lil bit?
Thanks for letting me hang with you guys!

I WAS TALKING ABOUT PREACHING CHORDS :D, BUT WHAT I MEANT ABOUT THE MAJOR CHORDS BEING USED...IT'S THE 1 AND THE 4 BEING THE MAJOR CHORDS, THE TYPE OF CHORDS WERE THE M7th CHORDS IN THE RIGHT HAND, OR LEFT, IF YOU DO A RUN IN THE RIGHT:
FP / LH / RH
Ab / AbEb / GbM7__OR__Ab / GbM7 / GbM7

YOU'RE PLAYING OFF THE DOMINANT 7 OF Ab, WHICH IS THE Gb...AND IT'LL BE PLAYED AS A MAJOR CHORD...THE 5th IN PREACHING CHORDS WILL ALWAYS HAVE THAT ODD HARMONIC TO IT, IT'S A LEAD IN CHORD BRINGING YOU BACK TO THE ONE: Eb / EbB / DbGbGB, (GM7{b5})...OR TO THE 3, WHICH WILL HAVE THAT SAME HARMONIC AS THE 5TH, BECAUSE IT'S THE SAME TYPE OF CHORD: C / CBb / BbEbCAbBb, (EM7{b5})...THE 6th CAN HAVE THAT HARMONIC ALSO: F / EbA / AM7(b5)

Hey everybody!
I have a A100 organ at home and a upright piano.  I'm looking for a smaller organ (just as good as the church organs) because my music room is small.

Any suggestions from anyone on what to purchase?  I want a smaller version with the long pedals, etc.

Thanks

Stick with your A-100...it's a B3 with internal speakers, meant for the home! A smaller hammond will be a spinet organ, with smaller pedals...no good...beleive me! You're fortunate to have an organ at home, many of us WISH we can be in your situation :D

Hi cee

listen if you already have an A100 you really have a B3 /C3 in a smaller cabinet

I sell organ s and The B3 the C3 and the A100 are all the same electronics

there are a couple of things that may be hindering your sound the

first thing is are you using a leslie
there are different kinds and if you want that church sound out of your A100 yoiu probably just need to buy a l-122 or 145

believe me its not the A100 unless your A100 is in need of repair

like maybe your busbars need cleaning or the contaects or maybe you need to go with a solid state amp if your tubes are all shot

but believe me I jsut sold two B3's and one was mint they were both really good organs though from 1963 and when that A100 is connected to a leslie you cant tell the difference except the A100 has a little more bottom end because of the speakers built in

you can get a leslie for 1,200 or less I sell those too

but do not do anything until you get a reputable hammond tecnician in to see your organ

To be or not to be that is the question you anwer when you pray practice and read your word
