A mike should only be used for volume purposes if you are having problems with your leslie or for recording mixes for cd's live or studio.  Bishop Cole

Cole-that's true.

If you have the equipment and setting, consider this. store your leslie away in a room (miked, both horn and speaker). Then, have it come out of a PA system (o'course you'd have a monitor near you). The sound is awesome. But, you need the equipment for this.
