I am a lifetime student doc. I am also young in the gospel scene. As I have stated before I didn't learn to play drums in the church. When cats come off clicheish I don't really investigate them. In the case of this Tonex DVD I really just have had other thiongs that I wanted more at the time but it is definitley on my list. I love his musicianship.

He is a Christian entertainer/musician in the gospel genre and I respect him for taking his gift to another level and being bound by "churchiness"... too bad the church won't respect him. The church cries out for a need for Christian entertainment and then they get it and shun it.

I really hate to say this, but the church does respect him.  Just not the black church  .  (I'm not joking.  I seriously believe that black people - at least the older ones - cannot stand this guy.  I don't know why, but that's just what I've experienced...)

Yeah! I was just jokin! but I understand what u mean about the church, I think some church folk can be to super spiritual sometimes and judemental, but i dont think he should retire because of that, because if so , then who was he doing it for  ??? the people or JESUS ???because the BIBLE even tells us that christ was persacuted for what he did, so u know if we are going to walk this walk, we must know that with it we will be done the same, but we must keep on doing what he has called us to do nomatter what!

Yeah! He's not retiring.  He's just upset.  I personally don't think he should have let a few people run him out of the business, but I know where he's coming from.  He'll be back eventually.

I don't think that he is letting the enemy get the best of him. He is however dealing with the human feelings of betrayel and unacceptance that are so real in his life. Even Jesus felt that ... He asked the Father to let the bitter cup pass from Him... He was not really feeling like dieing for us you know... Peter and the boys couldn't even stay awake and watch and pray with Him.

He has to regain his focus is all. He has to understand wher is path leads next. We may not agree whwere that is and maybe it is for him to retire for good. Question is who did he inspire enough to pick up the mantle and finsih the perceive race of which we speak. We will never know his paths purpose in this life. If we think he stopped running too early then which of us will run and win?
