im just starting guitar (again), i'll be getting a drum set soon (used to play as a kid) im 36 and im sayin its never to late, if its to late your too old !!!
if your a good drummer you'll be awesome on bass !!
my new church in tulsa i go to the number 1 man on bass is a life long drummer, hes 33 and been playing bass for 5 yrs ,but man when i tell you GOD has blessed, i cant find words to discribe.. he's truely annointed and i mean at the proffessional level !!! he makes most of us look like childs play.. hes very humble and is our assistant pastor, working for GOD is all he knows maybe thats why hes so gooooood !!!
you'll be slamming in no time: remember one thing, remember when you were learning drums? and you we're told to slow the tempo down, down, down to crawl..? remember how hard that was?? a steady or upbeat tempo is more easy as our brain can judge the next beat.. but slow and easy will make you an awesome player, as MOST bassist only want to play shouting and fast music (myself included) but honestly its the slower in time the better player, time again we see who stands out of the crowd when the tempo is dropped to a crawl.
get slammin,
rob
