Hey Fam,

Musiqsoul here,

yeah, yeah, yeah, i know, i've not been in the site in a few weeks, but that's because I was busy with work and then, i just got my home studio equipment and i'm now setting everything up. I had $3,500 as a budget but that got sliced DRAMATICALLY!, but it's all good though.

Here's my new set up:

Keys: Korg Triton 76 key LE, Korg N5ex synth, Yamaha 550.

Computer: IBM Netvista up grade,

Soundcard: EMU 1212m (comes with SONAR, CUBASE, etc), Also upgraded to FruityLoops Studio 6

Recorder: Boss digital recording studio -  1200CD (sweet) for vocals, keys, tracking.

Mic: MXL V67 cardiod condenser mic.

Monitors: a pair of Event ALP 5s.

Headphones: 1 Sampson , 2 Sony MDR7504

Headphone Amp: Sampson S 4 channel.

My missing piece of the puzzel: Focusrite trackmaster pro pre-amp. (coming soon)

I shopped at Sam Ash in Florida, the guys were real helpful and the service was excellent.

Soon as I set up, i'll do a test demo and post on the site, peace!

I have been doing alot of reading and research. The Korg1200 sounds like it would work, but needs some advice. I am new to the automated recording world. I practice currently on a Roland XP-10 and wanted to know what would be the ideal complete package to create very good quality.
