5 String Basses

Hi All, Has anyone compared the new fender V basses B string (where the head stock is 4+1) to the older fender V (head sock has 5 on one side) ? Does the B string sound any clearer? 

Also whats people's opinion of the Fender V precison bass?  I like in the UK, and I hardly see the precision V within shops here?  Thanks 8)

I have a MIM Deluxe Active Jazz V but it has the 5 on a side headstock.  I've played a few of the newer ones with the 4+1 arrangement, but I think it supposed to be the additional string tree that is supposed to make a differnce in the feel and tention of the B.  I honestly can't say that I noticed a differnce but consider too that the bass I played was a display model which probably needed new strings anyway.  But here is aninteresting discussion I found on the Fender Discussion Page about low B strings:

thanks that's a useful site.. I've got a musicman V, at the moment but i always prefered a fender sound so i wanted a good fender 5 string...
