Emotions are a part of the soul, and they are how GOD made us. Sometimes, anger is justified . . . the Bible allows us to be angry, but anger is never to have so much power over us that it leads us to sin.
Sadness is sometimes justified. But when it leads to depression, then we have a problem because we cannot subdue the earth and fight and win when we are depressed . . . and that is what we are to do until JESUS comes back for us.
Now, an attitude is often a result of hurts that have never healed, or unfinished business in a saint's life.
Ex: a choir director has a bad attitude. MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY times the reason is that they are scared of the people, and they have been hurt before, and they don't know what to do. So they just yell at people, be mean . . . but on the inside they are shaking because they are so scared.
If they had followed what the Bible says to do, which is :One, go to the brother / sister and show them their fault alone, and then if that works be done with it, and if it doesn't work Two, take with you one or two others, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established, and if that doesn't work then Three, remove them from the choir.
If they had have done that, they wouldn't be the walking wounded right now. But we continue to follow what man says instead of what GOD says, so we are in bad positions.
I think that explains a lot of the bad attitudes, especially among musicians and singers.
