Sampling Tips
« on: November 24, 2005, 07:02:41 PM »
Hey all,

Im just getting into sampling and I was just wondering if anybody had any tips on the topic. I'm working with a Korg Triton Studio I know the basics but if anyone knows any secrets or shotcuts that'd be cool thanks!

PS. Any ideas on what to look for when choosing a sample to use?

Im not too sure brother but when I find out I'll tell you if someone doesnt answer you first.  I know you posted this over a month ago and no one has gotten back with you so if you still need help post again.  In the meantime, I was going to be working on sampling again.  I have the Classic Triton Pro.  I sampled a couple of things but wasnt sure how to bring it all together with a drum beat.  I couldnt get the timing together.

Hopefully, you'll get the assistance you seek
I still believe~

I am not sure how much experience you have with sampling or what exactly you need help with, BUT I think this should at least point you in the right direction.

I don't have a Korg but I am sure that you can load samples in the board from the computer. In other words you can load samples from the computer into the Triton. This gives you a chance to edit the sample from a much better perspective than looking at the little LCD on your keyboard. So if you have a computer with some DAW software. You should probably start there and read your manual to find out how to load samples into the Triton from the computer.
