Evans EMAD Batter side with a Evans EQ3 Reso Side.
Do not put anything inside of it!!!

As far as tuning, I would recommend going about 1.5 to 2 turns past finger tight on batter and 2 to 2.5 on the reso side. That should just take out the wrinkles yet still give it a nice rumble.

God Bless.

Evans Emad coated with Emad resonant and go buy some twin size bed foam to go inside with an Emad pillow pushed against the batter head.

EMAD or Coated EMAD or EMAD 2 or EQ3 batter  and an EQ1 reso/front EQ2 to shake the windows and walls in a madd rumble with a medium  tuning front and batter.
EMAD Reso will give you PUNCH with any of those batters.

Nothing inside.

Yamaha Subkick Mic will really bring out the low end be sure to put a mic inside for attack.

Yeah nothing inside is good.

When I tune tho I don't even bother with a key. I just finger tighten. Really brings out that low end.

Well, thats the only way to do it, right?  ;D ;D ;D

Ya, just to reiterate, DO NOT PUT ANYTHING INSIDE. NO FOAM, NO PILLOW, NO NOTHING.
If someone knows how to properly tune, then dampening of any sort is not necessary. Besides any dampening that may already be included on the head.

God bless.

The EMAD 2 Batter is the new TRUTH.

It even punks the regular EMAD batter. I heard it on a PDP with an EQ3 (ported front and it was like whoooaoaaa! Much more SMACK than the EMAD regular. THis one is for the tha big foot stompers!

OHHHHHH....Thats what I need. I currently play EMAD with EQ3 ported.
I was tempted to try the EMAD 2, but hesitated. If its more smack for my big ol size 13...then I need it! LOL
