Will You Pass the Test and Confess His Name?
Today’s Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11; Matthew 10:33
Key Verse: Hebrews 11:17

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son.

Many preachers read only the first part of Hebrews 11, where the writer talks about those who were faithful. Have you noticed that none of the people in that chapter’s “faith hall of fame” were there because they received a split-level house, two cars, and a job promotion? Their faith had nothing to do with what they received; rather it had everything to do with the kingdom.

When you follow the King into His kingdom, God works with you. If you do not follow the King in the kingdom way, God will not go with you.

Most of the suffering and persecution we experience have nothing to do with God’s kingdom. (In other words, most of the things we label “persecution” are simply the results of our own mistakes.) But if you face harassment because of your work for Jesus, if you lose your job because you honor the Lord, then the Bible and the God of the Bible will stand for you. Do not expect that to happen if you say, “Well, I know I am saved, but I am just going to be quiet about it at the office.” How can you be quiet about something that saved your life?

If you cannot say anything about Jesus at work, then maybe you are in the wrong place. There is something about this gospel of the kingdom that causes people to speak up when no one else dares to say something. The God of power rises up and gives us supernatural courage to do things we never would do on our own. If you follow Jesus into the streets and job site and represent Him the way He instructs you, then all the power and resources of God Himself are at your disposal. All you have to do is pass the faith test.

Today's Prayer:

Father, I understand now that I possess the promises after I pass the test of faith. Faith and obedience are my investments in Your kingdom inheritance. Help me to openly confess Your Son before men so He can freely and openly confess my name before Your throne. I bless You and honor You in the name of Jesus, amen.

I STRONGLY have to disagree with this statement.  The bible says in Mark 11 whatsoever things u desire when u pray BELIEVE u shall recieve them AND u shall have them...so faith had a whole lot to do with wut they recieved because it is only by faith u can pull on the promises of God. Heb. 11:6 says without FAITH it is impossible to please God....now if ur not pleasing god will he reward u? No but if u keep reading it says he is pleased by faith AND he rewards those who diligently seek him....the split level house and all that comes with faith and seeking god (Matt. 6:33)
