- Continue to try to "perfect" 4-way coordination.

- Work on grooving/soloing in odd time measures.

- Develop more of my "from scratch" ideas.

At the end of the day, I just want to continue to become a more musical drummer. I want to become as musical as possible.

Try to increase my worth not only as a musician, but as a christian.

Learn more about the business aspect of what we do.

Learn how to work with people better.

I want to learn a whole different style of music that I've never played like.....Tango or something  :D....I don't know.

I AM GOING TO LEARN HOW TO READ MUSIC! (I guess that goes along with the first one).

I also want to help as many people as possible.
Love God. Live Long.

Continue to teach myself bass guitar and be good at it

Developing my own sound and technique as a gospel drummer or drummer period. In essence, sound different than everyone else in my playing

Graduate College!!!!!!

Become more  proficient in most musical software (Protools, Cakewalk, Lonar, Reason, etc.)

Develop an immaculate inner clock when drumming. I want to do it big like Eric Seats and have incredible time without a click or loop

Develop perfect pitch or the least relative pitch

Get my promotion at work as a Sound Tech (for real I need everyone to lift this one up in prayer)

Find a church that's not perfect, but perfect for me!!!

...And play drums and bass as much as I possibly can.

Oh...and avoid construction jobs!!! I know someone who was an oustanding drummer and lost all of his right hand fingers in a construction accident, and I have an older cousin who was also a beast on drums who lost his whole arm in a construction accident.
My goal as a musician is to be better than myself.
check out my site www.tampogo.com/alsmith!!!

Guy you want to be killer, learn how to mix the two! Don't think of them as black licks but as new licks to learn. Mentally if you think of them as Black licks it will be harder for you to grasp. Its all mind set not colour!!!! The way to learn the music is to eat, sleep, crap the stuff! If I'm learning something I will go to sleep with it (kinda understanding wife!), I have Modern Drummers in my bathroom and I make practice Cd's of all the stuff I'm learning !!!!! Join a Gospel Choir and gain your experience !! I did that with rock back in the day!!!

Mine is really one ultimate goal...

Creativity.

I've already come to grips with being a boring conteporary christian pocket drummer. Now I am searching, learning making
myself knowledge about my instrument and craft to the point where I can take my drumming to another level, creatively.

As for immediate goals I am currently practising rudiments - specifically the 6 & 7 stroke rolls & applying them to grooves & fills.
Also working on the one-handed drum roll. That's just for fun tho. Not looking to use it for actual playing.
