No. People don't want to share.

That's too bad. I'm really interested to hear some more of his playing.
Just play music...

Wow I have been on this forum for a little while now and I have never contributed anything on this website (just had to get that out of the way).  However, I joined this forum so that I could be exposed to the "gospel" world of drumming and it's amazing how stingy people are with their video clips.  IF I had any clips I would definetly give them to everyone, but I just don't get it.  Maybe I'm missing something here though.  Maybe there is a reason why, but I just don't understand it.  Sorry if I offended anyone I am sorry, but I came to learn about drummers that I normally would have never thought of or heard of.  We are all here for a reason and that is to learn about drumming and more importantly the Word of God.  Well again, I am sorry if I offended anyone with this post. Take care and God Bless.

People are stingy, 'cause it would seem the majority of the members make it seem as if we're SUPPOSED to do it. This is not a requirement of the board, in any way. Even when I post video clips - very few will say thank you, unless I make a fuss out of it. Futhermore, video clips 'causes many members to go nuts. They'll message you non-stop if they missed the link. You'll have some people who message you, and ask you to send every video that you have.

I mean, people REALLY do that type stuff. Video clips are too much of a headache for the poster. I know, 'cause I've been involved.

Then their are the lurkers .... who won't sign up, but will download clips without being a member.

Lastly, and frankly ... a lot of clips aren't very easy to come by - and many people feel like they cheapen the value of their stuff, if they just give it out. I know for a fact, that some people don't share ... because they may get in trouble for doing so.

Their are a lot of reasons, as you can see....

...first of all welcome.  It's not like that brother.  The thing is that some people share while others, well, let's just say we're waiting for them to share also.  It is better to give than to receive but we do also want to receive.  Anyway, you are in the right place.  You will know about drummers that you do not know about.  WARNING: Some of the nicknames might make you scratch your head but their playing is good. ;D

Some people keep their videos for trading purposes. Because everyone doesn't like to share - they use their clips to get stuff from other members, that they wouldn't be able to get otherwise.

Hey guys, thanks for the replys.  I was not trying to start anything and I know there were reasons why.  I know MD is a season vet at this forum so I am glad he came through with some reasons.  I respect you and JFunky for getting back to me.  I have a clip of myself playing snare drum at www.rudimentaldrumming.com click on videos and then DCA and I am Juan Carlos Mendoza 2002 DCA.  Check it out.   Hopefully I should be getting a camera soon and I will post some latin rhythms and some things I picked up from  Horacio Hernandez.  Left foot Clave and authentic Afro Cuban rhythms. Thanks again.  Take care and God BLess.

...Definetly post some of "El Negro's" things that you've learned.  I've been dying to hook up with another Latin Drummer so that I can share ideas and such.  Do that bro'.  PM me with some of that as well. ;D
