The answer may vary from borther to brother, but just for this brother . . .
I don't need a women who makes too much of me. That's an undue amount of pressure. I like a sister who has her own, and is willing to follow my lead not out of neediness, but out of choice.
Some brothers want their women to almost "worship" them. They are saved brothers, too. I don't understand that mentality . . . we are to worship GOD together, and glorify His name together . . . I don't need anybody "worshipping" me.
I don't need a sister who is going to put the church above me (Listen sisters, because we are talking about a problem that is at the root of a lot of saved marital problmes). In the home, the husband . . . not the pastor, the husband . . . is the head. Many sisters use the church to hide behind so they don't have to communicate thier own needs.
If you are following a spiritual idiot, then you are Mrs spiritual idiot for marrying him. Never put the church before your husband. If you do, don't be shocked when he leaves you free so you can marry your pastor and hang out with the church all the time.
She doesn't have to be a beauty queeen, because love beautifies everyone. But I do like a women who takes care of herself and keeps herself up, and likes how she looks. If she thinks she is beautiful, others will too.
As my momma said (but it goes for both of us) please don't mees up a whole lot of money by not being able to cook anything. A young man or woman who can cook will save much money . . . they can go to the store when things are tight and get some hamburger and some cheese and crackers and rice and kool aid and greens . . . come home . . . take hamburger that would only feed two and add crackers, onions, green peppers, cheese and seasonings and make meatloaf for four with some leftovers for lunch tomorrow with greens. They can take the rice and add milk, sugar, cinnamon and eggs and make rice pudding for a couple of days. They will take bananas that are about to be over ripe because the kids didn't eat them with cereal . . . and make banana pudding. They will feed each other big breakfasts so they won't be hungry for lunch and spend too much money that the family needs.
2 of my cents . . . Be Blessed
