Everyone has their preference. Mine was a Motif. I moved from a Motif 8 classic to the Fantom and never really could get into the board. Dont get me wrong, the Fantom is crazy nice and has feature for days. I first of all wanted something smaller and then I wanted another Motif so I just got a Motif ES7.

If you're willing to sacrifice portability, im selling my Rhodes.  Its a Mark II, 73 key, suitcase model.  Id like $2000 for it.

Have they gone up in value that much recently, or is this one vastly overpriced?  I paid $500 for mine some years ago . . . and have since had opportunities to buy several more for around the same amount.  Looks like on eBay the majority are going for under 1k.

Anything is cheaper on Ebay..... The rhodes i have is a Mark II suitcase model which makes it more valuable.  Every note works, nothing has ever been replaced and nothing needs to be replaced.  The speaker is in unbelievable condition, its louder than any rhodes i've ever heard.  I can easily overpower a full band....if i wanted to.  If you've done your research......buying one of these from a dealer that takes it apart and reworks the whole thing could cost you at least $3000.  Buying it from someone that doesn't really know about a rhodes will def. be cheaper, but most people don't luck into that....especially more than once.

eBay is actually more expensive than the going rate for a lot of items, because you will have bidding wars that raise the prices.

I havent kept up with the current market for Rhodeseses . . . but I have a lot of friends that rebuild and repair them professionally I will get some price quotes from them.
