Riffs and Rins- there are vocal adlibs that are performed by the singer. Normally they contain using vocal techniques such as tremolo, vibrato, moaning, adding huskyness to the voice and dragging on notes. Riffs and Runs should only really be carried out by experienced singers as if they are forced, they tend to sound unpleasant. Hope this helped :)

hey Ransom: listen to Smokey Norfield,Tonex,Tye tribet, these guys use alot of riffs and runs while they sing. These come after the main vocals of the song,to carry you to the next bar,or run in a song. It(done properly, and not over done),adds flavor to your singing ability.

Just listen, then practice, practice, and do create you "own " style...
Let your voice, be one voice, to Glorify the Lord.

Smokie is definitely a tenor.

A countertenor is what I am. A male who has un unusually strong falsetto and can sing tenor, alto, or soprano (usually all three) with his falsetto voice. That's definitely me.
