OK here's what u do, First put a plastic speedball beater on your pedal and make sure you jump when crashing the cymbal, this will eliminate the bass drum head and the cymbal at the same time and if you do it with both feet it may eliminate the hi-hat stand.  Do all triplet fills with a lot of power and within 1min 27sec. of he first song your problems should be over.

Repeat steps for as many times he buys one of those sets.

Dude!!!   :o :o  DO NOT get that set, especially for your CHURCH!!!!   :o :o

I got that set for practice at home right before I found this site, and it sucks!!!  Yeah getting better heads will make it better, but not much!!!  Big black was right, If they don't get you anything better, DON'T PLAY AT THAT CHURCH.  At least Yamaha Rydeen, or the Pearl Export!!!  Dude, don't go out like that!!!

I don't think you should bring your own kit or any kit to the church at all...

If they can even remotely think about getting A DRUM KIT, then they can definitely get a better one.
Tell the church they need to look at getting a better LONG TERM solution.

Like everyone else has said he is disrespecting your talents & gifts that God has given you...

I don't think the Pastor would appreciate it if he was given a cubicle for an office or if his pulpit was made of polystyrene huh?
That's right, its just not logical...

You personal kit should be at home. Your home church should have their own kit. I am not trying to be a blessing blocker but if they cannot afford to buy they cannot afford to replace. Their are a whole lot of pimps in the pulpit... don't get turned out. I realise sometimes things happen but the church should take care of the churches program.

..."This Just In, First Act Drum Company will have a booth at Summer Namm displaying their newly upgraded First Act High End kit.  Radical new finishes, upgraded hardware and their new First Act 9,000,000 Pedal.  This kit will be 100% pure plywood.  Due to the most recent LGM Thread, First Act is now targeting low budget churches."  ;D ;)

Yo godsgift, I totally agree with Sabe.  But to answer your question....YES pray about it.  I would still voice my opinion and let them know how serious you are about the equipment you need.  Be persistent, but still maintain your salvation bro!!!  I'll be praying with you on this.  A while back, Sabe gave me an idea of putting together an info packet for my pastor on the drum equipment we would need, the importance of drum maintenance, prices, etc.  If you would like to see it, send me a PM.....since I gave it to my pastor, he understands and is slowly giving me allowance for equipment we need.

Actually, Wal-mart drums are the best keep secret in the modern drumming arena.  Also on the horizon are new Walgreen drums, Ocso drums, K-Mart Special K Series pack (Buy one get on free), and the JC Pennies Jam Set!!!

.... ;D ;D  You had to go there didn't you?  You can't have a drumkit in the church if it isn't "Wine Red".  It goes great with the carpet, doesn't it?   ;D
