Show Me Your Glory

Show Me Your Glory

And he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Exodus 33:18-23

There is no place in the entire world like that being in the presence of the almighty, Holy, and magnificent God. In His presence there is such a peace that it surpasses all understanding. In His presence there is such a joy that is so full that nothing can compare to it. In His presence there is such a power that none of the nations on earth can even come close. In His presence there is such an intimacy that is it greater than that of a man and a woman.

The many things that are done in a worship service and we call it as being in the presence of God cannot even come close to the experience that Moses experienced. It is not to say that you cannot experience a legitimate presence of God in a worship service because that should be the goal; however, there are many things that are done in a worship service to try to manifest God’s presence and they do not even come close. Moreover, when you really and truly experience God’s presence then your life would be forever changed. Even on that day when Moses saw a glimpse of God’s glory, his very countenance was changed.

Therefore, when you really get into God’s presence your life will be forever changed. Whatever you need and whatever you want it is all in His presence.

Focus for Today: There is no place like being in the presence of our God.

Prayer

Dear Lord, I give you all the glory and honor that is due your holy name. Lord, I long to be in your presence. I present myself before you in order to be in your presence. Lord, show me your glory. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

You got my attention on this one. Good post saxman. Its a blessing. :) I was thinking about something like this the other day. The presence of God, the glory of God, the annointing. Ive got to do some study on these topics.
Vision without action is just day dreaming. I miss practicing.

Thanks everyone.  Mysteryman, a very good place to start is in the Tabernacle.  I've been doing some study in that area and it is truly a blessing
