is a yamaha dx7 or a roland xp-80 a good keyboard for  beginners to start out with? :-\

Yes, if you are buying them or already have them. These two boards are "CLASSICS". I played on them when I first started playing and also when I was on the road professionally. God bless, Bishop Cole

To be honest a yamahah motif is the best keyboard i've used when i first started playing

out of the 2 the xp80 still sounds comparable to todays keyboards
