"Wait"
« on: June 13, 2006, 06:23:16 PM »
What do you do when you go to a doctor's appointment and the doctors is running late.........wait

When you date is not quite ready do you leave....nope you wait

When you need gas and you are almost on e and the line is around the corner do you leave or........wait

When you’re at an amusement park and the line is like 2 hours long you still jump in and you ......wait

Go back to your childhood for a moment and you wanted that piece of cake, or the candy bar your parents promised and they said “wait"... what you did... you waited...

Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Why is it that we are willing to wait patiently in all of these circumstances but we don’t know how to wait on the Lord. No complaining, constantly bugging Him, getting frustrated, leaving The Doctors Office, but just wait. See we are willing to wait for things that are worth waiting for. The doctor will fix that medical problem so you wait on him with a smile on your face. You need that gas in order to accomplish the rest of your task so you wait. That young woman or man was fine and they could talk all night but you waited. Your mom said she was going to give it to you so you know you bet not bug her about it over and over again or you run the risk of not getting anything at all. Yet we pray the same prayer over and over. Why?

I believe that we don’t spend enough time content in just waiting on the Lord. If we could just wait. Don't sulk, pray, talk about it     ( whatever "it" is) but just wait then and only then can we as the scriptures say  mount up on wings, run and not get weary. That does not happen because you prayed or even worshipped him the scriptures says you get that result when you wait.

What would happen if we where to ever really apply the things we are in agrement on. What would are testimony be if the 4 of us who have said Amen to this post really jumped in head 1st and simply began to wait on the Lord?

Just wondering

No but DAD was. He sends His response in many ways. I am glad that these words could be confirmation for you!

Be encouraged!
