I been to several churches and everyone has a different set up but what do yall think is the best way to face your throne. would it be straight or on a angle?

Well for me as a drummer, i wood think the best way to sit is straight on. You u dont wanna work any harder than u have to cuz ur not sittin correctly....

you should sit so that your right leg and foot line up straight onto the bass drum pedall then adjust from there
other wise you will hurt your knee b/c you are not going on a straight line so to speak!

Straight is the best way. You are supposed to be centered on your snare. Your hihat an kick pedal should be equal distance from throne with heel of each pedal even. This way the drummers body. facing the stage front and he can see all the musicians etc and has the most open field of view. This keeps the chest open and gives the biggest range of motion around thge kit.

Most guys these days set ergonomically wrong. Folks will say set up the way that you feel comfortable but most of them don't really know what that is. You should first set up the proper way for the body then dial in the specific s to maximize the ergo nomic. When you look at the old jaz guys you never see then turned all cock-eyed. The reason being is they centered themselves.
