***THE ENCOURAGEMENT THREAD***

So yes it's that time again to come up with a new idea:

This is the encouragement thread.  We will do exactly what it says.....ENCOURAGE.  Out of a lot of the threads we've had, we don't do a lot of encouragement.  I've noticed that when people are encouraged, it gives them more strength to run on and do what God has called them into.  I also get excited when people are encouraging others. 

Some Rules:

1) Each encouragement must be a separate post (Can't encourage more than one person in one post)

2) If you are encouraged, you may reply with a thank you and a small speech

3) Do NOT ask people to encourage you....seems kind of desperate.  We will get to you ;)

4) You may encourage AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE (as a matter of fact, it's encouraged ;D )


Everyone likes it when they are noticed.....it does something to their day when they know they are thought highly of

Now......LET'S GET TO ENCOURAGING ;D ;D ;D

This is my kind of thread!   

Okay, the first one that comes to mind is Bro. C.J.  I just want to say that we are all proud of the strides you've made in your life, and in your walk with Christ.  Keep your head up and keep striving, I know everything is not going your way right now, but if you endure, God will not let you down.

From knowing you here on LGM, I have found you to be a genuine and good-hearted person.  I appreciate your willingness to share the things that you go through, you never know who else is reading and being helped by your testimonies.

From a personal standtpoint I want to say" you are a cool cat" i opened up my private life to youand i appreciate you taking the time to provide constructive criticism. I really hope that we can grow past the internet and build a good friendship. My music is my passion and I was impressed that you took my request seriously and helped me to improve my craft for God's glory. believe me when I say check the "thank you's," you will be in there.

My prayer is that God give you wisdom to find new ways to teach the young men and women who will lead this nation in the future, about Christ sa well as academics.

Okay, I know I am one friend who almost NEVER calls or keeps in touch, but I want you to know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers (I'm really bad about calling, ask my mom).  Sometimes a series of events in someone's life makes us all step back and say "Whoa, how much more can he take?"  But I am certain that the God we serve doesn't make any mistakes and that in his "panoramic view" of things, this small snapshot makes a lot more sense.

"Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" Philippians 1:6

My words are few because I know that I can't know exactly how you feel.  But I do care, and I am praying, and I hope that you will feel what my words can't fully convey.

VT, I encourage you to allow God to continue using you in the many arenas he has designated you to be a blessing. LGM is just one of those arenas.  ;D

Remember these things:

Be SINGLE-MINDED in your Worship. Focus on God not on impressing man.
Be SET-APART.  You have been sancitified and are called to be holy.
Be STILL - so that you will know who God is. Sometimes you got to get off the computer and listen to God.
Be an example of a Christian SOLD-OUT to the presence of God.
Be a SERVANT of God.

In other words, Be all that you can be unto the glory of God...it's already in you.

SisterT, you beat me to the encouraging!

Anyways, I want to really thank you for being my online mom and know that I have listened to everything you've said and not only applied it to LGM but in my life!  I thanks for the encouragement that you've provided as well as the open rebukes ;) for they were all taken in and accepted.  In spite of the issues that I've dealt with, you have taken me in as a son and it is something I don't take lightly; I even tell my friends about you. 

Continue to be that momma to others in the LGM family as well as in real life (well LGM is real....you know what I mean)  I love you and appreciate you ;D

Now, can I go out to play¿ :D :D

My encouragement is for Nakia. Nakia girl I am amazed at the heart you have for youth ministry and for the youth at your church. They are VERY blessed and fortunate to have someone like you working with them. I encourage you to keep your head up, and know that though the weopon may form against you, it WILL NOT prosper. And the youth explosion is going to be the BOMB!! I just know it! God bless you and keep the faith!!  ;D

Man words can not describe how awesome it was to "work" with you in the chatroom. There is NO WAY you can be THAT anointed and talented without God opening mega-doors for you! Keep tickling those keys, man, and when you get to be big like Kevin Bond and John Peters, I can say you played for me before!!  ;D  ;D  God bless ya man!!

And to the other cold cats that have played or sung in the chatroom, there will be encouragement threads for you guys, too!

This word of encouragement goes out to Sis Nakia.  Thank you so much for agreeing to come and be apart of the Juneteenth celebration in White Plains, New York.  Your willingness to participate and do a solo meant a lot to me.  And I just want to say that things may not always go your way but remember, you are example and everything you do...someone else is watching you and aspiring to be like you.  You are a beautiful young woman and God will soon bless you with your hearts desire.  Continue to let God use you!

I would like to encourage CJ. I've read about your challenges with your church, your job, etc. I encourage you take each challenge and see it for what it is. When working through trying times you gain wisdom, knowledge, and strenghth. For any trying situation you succeed in prepares you for the next. And there will always be trials. May God lead and guide you through anything that troubles you. May he l continue to give you the patience, wisdom, & knowledge needed in life. God be with ya Cj in all that you do.... :)

Although you are pretty quiet, you have a BIG heart... I know that I can always count on you to give me a word that is needed... I thank you for listening to my grips when no one else would and to also understand both side and for not being afraid to tell me the truth... I pray that God gives you the desire of your heart and that You DO become the Man of God that he has called you to be...

I have said this to you before... You musical gifting inside of you is amazing... God is really doing a work in you in that area... I pray that you don't allow your circumstances and situations to run you off track... Continue to focus on the promise and not the problems...

Although we bump heads A LOT, I still believe in you and the talent that God has put in you... and I will always be your biggest fan... I am still waiting for you to write me a song AND to let me sing background on one of your songs...  ;D ;D ;D I still love you like a play cousin... ;)

When I first started to read your posts... The first thing that popped into my mind was "Who does this dude think he is"... ;D But over the course of a few months you have grown into being a good friend with a great heart... I enjoy our conversations on and off line... You are a wonderful inspiration... I admir your ability to bounce back from any and all adversities all the while still encouraging others... Although your sarcasim gets on people's nerves sometimes... It is how God made you in order to accomplish what God has for you to accomplish... Love you like a lil Brother...  ;) ;) ;)

Nakia, you are definitely the typical New Yorker, AT TI TUDE!! :D :D and I LOVE IT!  Thanks for being one of the few people that I could trust from the internet to talk to offline.....always had a big fear with online people, but you are just madd cool.  Continue to do the things God has called you to do (especially with that youth explosion--wish I could be there!) You are a STRONG WOMAN OF GOD and many will fear you for it (ask SisterT ;) ) but you continue doing what you've been called to do!  I love you big sis.
