Carpal Tunnel
« on: June 23, 2006, 12:42:41 PM »
Hey everyone, my left arm from the elbow down to the had was tingling for a few days. It started on monday. So I made an appointment to see a doctor and he said I have the early signs of Carpal Tunnel. Here is a link if you dont know what it is, http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/brochure/thr_report.cfm?Thread_ID=5&topcategory=Hand I have to wear a brace on my left arm to support my wrist for 2 months. I can take it of and stuff to play, but I can't play as much right now because I need to keep the brace on as much as possible. Hopefully if i take good care of it, and by the power of God It will go away. I play a few different instruments and I work at an office on a computer all day. So if you guys are playing and working a lot on computers becarefull to give your wrists a rest and make sure you are using the correct posture when you play whatever instrument you play and when you use a computer, or anything that could involve strain on the wrist. Keep me in prayer and Godbless...

Gotcha covered in prayer, bro.

Also, be sure to take care of your back and neck...sit up straight, don't over stress your back, stay away from car accidents...all that stuff can mess up your spine and discs and cause nerve damage that can affect your arms, hands, fingers and legs.
Take it from someone who's been there and been healed, praise God.
Music theory is not always music reality.
