man i dont care if im late or not,the way im feeling it doesnt really make a diffrence..have ya'll been to his my space page..where they got all the d.c. drummer all star addition.... aaron is the last one on the there....he slaughters it.. calvin is my man but aaron..well i'll leave it at that...lol

You silly doc.  The Basement Allstars clip has been up for a good minute.  I'm waiting for them to decide they want to put it on DVD!

my boy actually has a video of them shedding. it's aaron, jamal, tim, dana hawkins, and a few other cats all in a room wit 3 drum sets, a keys and bas player. its like an hour or 2 long..

I agree with yall, just one good listen and it makes you wanna go and HIDE in the basement! LOL!  One thing I've learned is that..."Iron sharpens Iron" when you shed with people you can draw from them...or...just SWITCH INSTRUMENTS! LOL!  LOL!

One he has a gift.
Two, he realizes it and takes responsibility for it's stewardship.
Three, he made a decision to be the best he can possibly be.
Four, he comitted the necessary time/practice to anable that to manifest.

Enjoy watching him. Be inspired by what God put in. Connect to that which He put in you - Step up and multiply it.

Don't psych yourselves out by putting that kind of development/manifestation out of reach. It is an example for you.

AARON SPEARS is a beast and i saw that basement allstars what i got out of that video is not only that they have anointed skills, but they got together to help each other grow they are humble brothers/drummers that should be a great example for the rest of the country. I can even get drummers together to SHED often if it happens it don't happen again.

yea aaron is the truth! the thing i love in his playing is that he has a strong powerful pocket and he is about one of the only cats i have heard that can use the triplet rudiment to its max and beyond i kno he does more than that but that definitely sticks out at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8) hopefully some day i would luv to shed with him and learn lil something!!!!!!!! Humble Humble and Practice are the keys! 8)
